“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Gal 5:16-17)
Hello My Friends. In video two of the series Spiritual Warfare Refocused: War of the Soul, we will talk about the war that each and every one of us face, every minute, every hour of the day; the war of flesh vs. spirit. In Galatians 5, Paul the Apostle, speaks to us about this war and how the flesh is always in contrary to our spirit. As believer’s in Christ we are born again through the Holy Spirit, and the old man has passed away, and we have become new. However, we still live in the same fleshy sin riddled body as before, and the habits, temptations that we dealt with are still present.
In this series, we will explore how we as believer’s in Christ Jesus can overcome the flesh and walk in the Spirit of God, and live righteously before our God. We will also learn about our redemption through Christ, and the grace of God that is available to all of us to strengthen us during times of testing, temptation and tribulation.
As always, I pray that this video will be a blessing to you, and will encourage you to continue to fight the good fight within your own hearts. Remember, this life is not the end of all things, we are only training for eternity to live with our Heavenly Father.
