“Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” (1 Timothy 6:19)
What has your life been built upon thus far? Is your life, your beliefs, your mind, your heart, your relationships built steadfastly on solid ground? Or have you become compromising and swaying to and fro as a leaf on the wind? In the world today, we can change our minds in a whim, one minute fighting for this cause and the next revolution or social justice issue. Changing husbands and wives, one minute doting parent the next selfish and aloof. The causes we fight for, while neglecting our family and faith, are most often times in direct contradiction to one another and in truth we cannot tell you the true meaning or purpose of the anything these days. People today flutter from one thing to the next, their minds not able to focus and hearts that cannot commit to relationships, jobs, studies, businesses nor faith without being distracted by whatever the wind blows in town. Our society have become doubled minded, confused and deceived.
We as an society have allowed others such; as those who run our media; to dictate to us what is true and what is not, what is radical and what is socially acceptable, what is praise worthy, and the ideal of human perfection, and because of this suggestive living we have become shallow and unstable in our ways. I say we because at one time or another we may have followed this mindset to one extent or another, some more naively than others.
James tells us in the scriptures;
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (Jas 1:6-8)
So therefore, a mentally unstable person cannot be counted on to secure a stable life here on earth nor for their eternal salvation. If a person cannot commit, or as the old adage states ” if you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything.” If the world knows that one must be steadfast in order to accomplish a goal, how much more rooted shall a Believer in Christ Jesus be in this day and hour. One has to come to an understanding that this walk in the faith can only be sustained through Jesus Christ alone, He being The Word of God, and The only way to salvation.
We have an understanding that our society, especially in the west, have been dictated by fads advertised by the “stars” of Hollywood; whether fashion, political, health, education, family, etc. The people of our country have been propagandized day and night in television, movies and documentaries, and are therefore indoctrinated. The people become entranced by the shiny new prospects, material possessions and entitlements. Once the season for that craze is over, it is literally criticized, dissected, and then minimized and chided by the very media and experts who endorsed them. Once that is done the craze is dropped and in the same breath a new one is sensationalized on the same segment of the show. And sometimes it is the same old thing just with a new name, color and something added or taken away… “NEW AND IMPROVED”!
This leaves the people who followed the bandwagon and spent hundreds maybe thousands of dollars – disillusioned, disbelieving, confused and hopeless. Their minds wheeling from the whiplash of such an abrupt change in what they thought was truth. And without any time to recover, the ride and thrills begins again, with the ‘new and improved” novelty, and they believe the same people who lied to them on a countless number occasions. Insanity! This can only happen when people have no true foundation in their lives, and their lives are built on humanity’s reasoning and knowledge, most of what they do not understand in the first place.
How can any person’s home be stable, have consistency, have a strong mind and heart in this world? By building our lives on The Rock, who is The Cornerstone of our faith – Jesus The Christ!
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”(Luke 6:46-49)
Today, I challenge you, as you read this to not continue after the world but seek the kingdom of Heaven. Jesus prayed to our Father In Heaven for those who belong to Him in this world:
“I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” (John 17:9-21)
Our Lord Jesus prayer that we may be one in Him and in The Father, that the world may believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God sent from The Father in Heaven. We are in the world but not of the world. We are Children of Light and not of darkness. We are to be the ones who advance forward in this world controlled by satanic kingdom to if you are believer in Christ or not, to find out the truth of The Word for yourselves, to read, study and to inquire of The Lord if His word is the foundation for all life, your life! The reason I am asking Christians to do this, is because many have been lead astray through false doctrines and fables. They have allowed themselves to be governed by wolves and do not truly understand the word. Those who are of various different denominations, have allowed others to read and interpret the Word of God to them, as if you could not read for yourselves! The foundation of our faith begins and ends in Jesus The Christ, and this can only be obtained by searching him out for yourself.
In this the age of the world will not get any better, and we are quickly advancing to the revealing of the One World Order and the son of perdition at the helm. Which also means the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring judgment, justice, a new world, a new reign and to end the kingdom of darkness once and for all. Now is the time for us to do away with every sin, every burden, to rise up and allow your light to shine in the darkness. We all have a commandment, a mandate, a calling from our King. Let us now make up our minds to be as, the motto which was made famous by The Three Musketeers ” Un por tous, tous por un” or in English “One for all, all for one!” We will be for Christ and He for us, and will shall be in the form of godliness and shall demonstrate the power of The Holy Spirit of The One True and Living God.
It is not for us to be carried away by the dictates of this world, but to be a standard of righteousness in this hour. Arise my Brothers and Sisters to your purpose in The Lord, and you shall be as Psalms 1 states:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (Psalms 1:1-6)
May The Lord, The Living God, Creator of heaven and earth and all living souls in it, give you mercy, peace and joy! May you be strengthen in the faith and contend for it! May The Lord Jesus Christ protect you and fill you with His Holy Spirit, that you may be whole, that His good works may be completed in you and that you may glorify your Father in heaven.
